Michael Martin Murphey and John Siebenahler have partnered up to offer their services and knowledge to promote tallgrass prairie preservation. Preserving the natural state of the landscape is the goal of American Prairie Partners.
American Prairie Partners is here to make the land profitable for individuals and companies by restoring the American prairie to as close to it's original state as possible. This will be accomplished through the use of Texas Longhorn cattle, elk, buffalo and other grazing animals suitable to the restoration.
American Prairie Partners has faith in the native species of the American prairie and will acquire land and use native seed in it's ranching and consulting efforts. Finished packaged meat products and native seeds will be sold at a fair and reasonable price to participants in the program.

American Prairie Partners has many goals to achieve for the land and future generations:
- To develop land for prairie restoration and recreational use while leaving open spaces with less than 10% of the land for human participation.
- To make the land profitable through Texas Longhorn cattle and to maximize those profits from every use of the by-products.
- To develop a marketing campaign that emphasizes the joy of prairie restoration, cultural and historical tradition of the past.
- To produce educational information on land restoration, management and future protection of the prairie.
- To produce entertainment for prairie restoration through the arts, literature and spiritual activities.
- To help the American population connect and adapt with the native species, wildlife and American Prairie Partners goals.
